Dear God, Why do they hate our blackness?

Systematic oppression has plagued us for far too long; 400 years too long. We are tired of being victims and deemed as less than human. Our black is beautiful and if you ask me, we are the true warriors.

As you listen to my words please understand this, IGNORANCE has NO COLOR ‼️ I repeat, IGNORANCE HAS NO COLOR. It is taught and just like all things, this egregious behavior can be UNLEARNED. You are in control of your perspective.

I am the first born which means I am also the trendsetter. These two things alone create pressures within me. Having to be concerned about the safety of my loved ones isn't something I, nor anyone other black, brown or minority should be burdened with.

This gut wrenching narrative can be changed. It starts with YOU, ME, US! We can be the change we want to see but in order to do so there must first be a shift in your heart & in your mind.

I'll leave you with this, if not now then when?

Blessings Queen .. I feel your pain .. on many levels a shared pain .. a pain that has been thrust upon us just because of who we are ..
